Tiivistelmä
Abstract
The rapid technological development in society requires wide-ranging digital competence from higher education students. In the article, we discuss the inequalities, which are caused by inadequate or missing digital competence among higher education students. Students might have basic skills but less competence about data literacy, information literacy, artificial intelligence literacy or digitality in society. Second, we provide four examples of Finnish higher education courses aimed at supporting the development of various aspects of digital competence. We reflect on the courses by using a critical digital literacy framework.
