Abstract
The educational landscape is experiencing a transformation accelerated by rapid advancements in technology and innovative pedagogical approaches. From artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLM) to virtual reality and gamified learning analytics, these technologies offer new possibilities for customizing personal learning, enhancing student engagement, and reshaping teaching methods. This integration also brings forth critical discussions on ethical considerations, academic integrity, and re-examination of current educational practices to ensure that these emerging technologies and trends can be integrated responsibly and effectively. This introduction discusses key research challenges and introduces a collection of articles focused on advanced technologies for teaching and learning (ATLT). Through this curated set of studies, the minitrack aims to provide insights into the current advancements and future directions in leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness.
