Tiivistelmä
Abstract

The next generation of personal wireless networks will increase the already overcrowded use of the radio spectrum, especially in unlicensed spectrum, where new services will coexist with legacy devices. High-dense deployments of wireless networks are still one challenging and important scenario for Body Area Networks (BAN) use for humans or vehicles currently in development in IEEE 802.15.6ma [1]. Hence, to improve users quality of experience (QoE) in high-dense scenarios, coordination between the BAN coordinators is a promising approach to handle mutual interference. Despite many studies that have proposed Access Point (AP) coordination solutions [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7]; none has addressed BANs. The paper describes the protocol design named Multi-BAN coordination, in which a group coordinator controls the transmissions of a group of BANs by scheduling resources in time and frequency. The paper focuses on details of the protocol flow to clarify the description of the standardization discussions. Validation of performance is a future work.
