Läpäisevät päällysteet hulevesien hallintavaihtoehtona Suomessa : haasteita ja hyötyjä

Abstract

Hulevesien hallintaan tarvitaan monipuolisesti menetelmiä hulevesimäärien kasvaessa. Läpäisevät päällysteet ovat yksi vaihtoehtoinen hallintamenetelmä. Ne ehkäisevät hulevesien syntyä tehokkaasti. Läpäisevien päällysteillä on myös kyky puhdistaa hulevesiä ja niiden käyttömahdollisuudet Suomen olosuhteissa ovat lupaavat.

Tämä kandidaatin työ käsittelee läpäiseviä päällysteitä hulevesien hallintavaihtoehtona. Työn alussa perehdytään hulevesien muodostumiseen ja sen hallinnan aiheuttamiin haasteisiin. Sen jälkeen käsitellään tarkemmin läpäisevien päällysteiden toimintaa ja niiden käytön sääntelyä Suomessa.

Työn tarkoituksena on tutustuttaa lukija huleveden hallintaan liittyviin haasteisiin ja läpäisevien päällysteiden toimintaan. Tavoitteena on myös selvittää läpäisevien päällysteiden puhdistustehoa ja käyttömahdollisuuksia Suomessa.

New methods for managing stormwater are needed as the volumes of stormwater continues to grow. Permeable pavements are one alternative management method. They are an effective method of preventing stormwater run-off. Permeable pavements also have some abilities to treat stormwater and their potential for use in Finnish conditions is promising.

This Bachelor thesis discusses permeable pavements as an option for stormwater management. At the beginning of the thesis, the reader is introduced to the formation of stormwater and the challenges of managing it. This is followed by a more detailed discussion of permeable pavements and the regulation of their use in Finland.

The aim is to familiarize the reader with the challenges of stormwater management and the operation of permeable pavements. The goal is also to investigate the cleaning performance and potential use of permeable pavements in Finland.
