Tiivistelmä

Abstract

Emerging markets (EMs) are increasingly playing an important role in a globalized economy. The increased importance of emerging market multinationals (EMNCs) is evident in recent academic discourse. Given the current state of the literature on organizational ambidexterity in an EM and EMNC context, there is a gap in the understanding of what constitutes organizational ambidexterity in EMNCs. Examples of organizational ambidexterity studies can also be found in the International Business (IB) realm with more inclination toward culturally diverse and internationalization-focused contexts. That said, we still need to understand ambidexterity in EMs and EMNC contexts better. Based on the extent literature and call for papers, we received a lot of interest and eventually, after a long and stringent process, we finally selected 11 papers for this special issue. This piece contributes as an editorial mapping the existing literature and the 11 contributions thereafter.
